We are on our way to a new geological era. This requires the inhabitants of the delta to move along with the natural dynamics that are at the core of this area. But where are we moving towards?

In De Monding van Morgen, Dutch documentary maker Rik van der Linden tries to free himself from the chains of the present and goes on an expedition to the future where he learns to see the estuary as a rare area with unique ecological value, where life can be abundant and in which mankind has found its place in time.

Rik invited me along to capture this great story, together with other wildlife camera operators like my friend Edwin Haighton. I have shot different scenes and my favourite; the water camera work. I also chased a storm to capture lightning on the drone.

The first time I saw the finished piece was during the Wildlife Film Festival in Rotterdam. When I was watching it all come together on the big screen I was in awe of the beauty so close to home, and felt so lucky to work with visionaries like Rik van der Linden who puts wildlife conservation first in his work.
